Competing Categories
- The competition is limited to a total of 70 Contestants, with a maximum of 50 Contestants for the Rising Star Category and 20 Contestants for the Creative Wizards Category. Once the quota is full for each competition, the registration link for that competition will be closed.
- Competition will be based on 2 categories: *both categories are individual participation
- Each contestant is only allowed to participate in one category, as both categories will be held concurrently.

Eligibility
- The competition is open to all local and international hairdressers.
- All Contestants must be 16 years old and above. Any Contestant who is under the age of 18 years old is required to obtain the consent of their parents or guardians to participate in this Competition.

*Top two (2) Malaysian Contestants of the Creative Wizards category will represent Malaysia to compete at The 28th APHCA Cambodia – Asia Pacific Hair, Make-up and Beauty Olympics 2024 on 15 to 16 October 2024.
**Educational Course will be provided by Midan. Winners are entitled to invite members from their academy, salon, or company, ensuring that individuals with decision-making authority attend the course.

More Information You Might Want to Know..
Contestants must be dressed in a presentable way. Models must wear white top and black bottom, gown is not necessary
Yes, contestants are required to bring their own tools, electrical equipment and universal adapter, which must comply with all Malaysian voltage standards. All equipment will be checked onsite before it is permitted to be used. Decision of the Organiser is final in all cases. Only one (1) electrical outlet is provided for each Contestant and only one piece of electrical equipment may be connected at a time. Multi-plug adapters/power boards are not permitted.
Before the competition,
1. Model’s hair may be set / blow dried / natural and be left loose.
2. All styling products and tools (such as hair clips, hairpins, bobby pins, etc) are allowed to use. Glue gun is allowed to be used to fix/adjust the accessories given.
3. Accessories inside the mystery box provided by the Organiser can use either one (1) or all, depends on your creativity.
Yes, contestants are allowed to dye their model’s hair before the competition. The use of all colours is free and must be pre-done. No colour sprays are permitted.
Notifications regarding participation status and further instructions will be sent via WhatsApp to the contact number provided during registration.
During the competition, family and friends can only view the event from outside the barricade and are not permitted to enter the competition area. However, they are warmly invited to join us for the Awards Ceremony on 5th October at 1:00 PM at the Main Stage in Hall 1. Click here to register them.
