Skin Management Competition Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

  1. ‘Competition’ means the Bloom & Groom: Skin Management Competition 2025 at the Event;
  2. Contestant’ means a participant in the Competition;
  3. ‘Event’ or ‘BECBM 2025’ means beautyexpo & Cosmobeauté Malaysia 2025;
  4. ‘Organisers’ means Informa Markets Malaysia Sdn Bhd;
  5. ‘Venue’ means Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

 

2. Eligibility

  1. The competition is open to Malaysian beauticians only.
  2. All Contestants must be 16 years old and above. Any Contestant who is under the age of 18 years old is required to obtain the consent of their parents or guardians to participate in this Competition.

 

3. Entry Submission

  1. All eligible Contestants should register their participation via Online Registration Form (https://form.evenesis.com/becbm2025/skin-management-competition), and submit the online form by 5 September, 2025 at 11:59 PM Malaysian Standard Time. The competition is limited to a total of 58 Contestants. Once the limit is reached, the registration link for the competition will be closed.
  2. Competition will be based on two categories: Student Category (includes beautician with less than 2 years experience) and Professional Category.
  3. Contestants will be notified via WhatsApp with respect to their joining instructions.
  4. Registration fees as below:
    Student                        : Free of Charge
    Professional               : RM 80
    All registration fees are non-refundable and subjected to 8% SST.

 

4. General Rules of the Competition

  1. Contestants and their models are required to attend the Event at the Venue on 3rd October 2025 for the Competition & Competition Awards Ceremony. Contestants and their models must check in at the Hall 1 registration counter no later than the assigned start time.
  2. Competition Duration: sixty (60) minutes
  3. Beauty products will be provided by the Organiser. All contestants will receive the same products.
  4. Contestants and model must be dressed in a presentable way during the competition.
  5. Contestants are required to keep their phones on silent at all times.
  6. Competition Steps: Get ready > Clean up > Deep cleansing > Facial massage > Apply Mask > After care > Tidiness and Overall arrangement
  7. Winners will be determined solely at the discretion of the panel of judges. The judges’ decision is FINAL.
  8. Winners will be announced on 3rd October 2025 during the Awards Ceremony at the Event.

 

5. Prizes

A total of twenty six (26) winners will be selected for both categories, with prizes awarded as follows:

Student Category:

  • Champion                      : Cash Prize RM 800 + Skin Management Upskill Training* + Certificate + Trophy
  • 1st Runner Up               : Cash Prize RM 500 + Skin Management Upskill Training* + Certificate + Trophy
  • 2nd Runner Up               : Cash Prize RM 300 + Skin Management Upskill Training* + Certificate + Trophy
  • Commendation Award : RM 100 Worth of Reward + Certificate + Trophy (10 sets)
Professional Category:
  • Champion                       : Cash Prize RM 1,000 + Skin Management Upskill Training* + Lincoln University Professional Certificate in Aesthetics Skill** + Certificate + Trophy
  • 1st Runner Up                : Cash Prize RM 800 + Skin Management Upskill Training* + Certificate + Trophy
  • 2nd Runner Up               : Cash Prize RM 500 + Skin Management Upskill Training* + Certificate + Trophy
  • Commendation Award : RM 100 Worth of Reward + Certificate + Trophy (10 sets)
    In the event that a beautician representing a beauty salon wins, a total of two participants (the salon owner and the beautician) will be entitled to attend the course. If the salon owner wins, only one participant (the salon owner) will be eligible for the course.
    ** The Lincoln University Professional Certificate in Aesthetics Skill is only applicable for winner who possesses SKM levels 1, 2, and 3.
 
  • Contestants are required to attend the Awards Ceremony in person at the Event Venue on 3rd October 2025. Non-attendance will result in automatic disqualification.
  • Prizes are non-transferable, must be used on the specified dates (where applicable), and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • If a winner chooses not to accept a prize or is subsequently disqualified, they forfeit any and all claims to that prize, which will be managed at the absolute discretion of the Organisers. In the event of disqualification, the Organisers may, at their sole discretion, decide whether to select a replacement winner.
  • All prizes are used/taken entirely at the risk of the winner, and the Organisers exclude all warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law.
  • If a specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Organisers reserve the right to substitute a similar prize or one of equivalent value at any time without prior notice.
  • Winners agree to be contacted by the Organisers or their authorised representatives to participate in public relations events aimed at generating press coverage of the Competition, Event, prizes, and/or their use or enjoyment.
  • Organisers reserve the right to withhold any prize awarded pending verification of the Contestant’s compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

 

6. Liability

  1. By entering the Competition, Contestants warrant that all information submitted by them is true, accurate and complete.
  2. All Contestants agree to allow the details of their entry to be shared with the judges and representatives of the Organisers. Contestants will be deemed to have consented to the transfer and sharing of their personal data and information for the purpose of administration and judging of the Competition and any other purposes to which the Contestant has consented.   3. The judges and the Organisers reserve the right at their absolute discretion to disqualify any entry deemed to be incomplete, inaccurate, inaudible, incomprehensible, false or misleading.
  4. The judges’ decision will be final, and no explanation, correspondence, or discussion will be offered or entered into before or following the judges’ decision. Feedback will not be given on any entry before or following the judges’ decision.
  5. Contestants will be solely responsible for all costs and expenses involved in their participation in the Competition.
  6. Organisers reserve the right at their absolute discretion to alter or reschedule the Competition, the Event and/or to change the judging panel and/or to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time and without notice.
  7. Contestants expressly assume all risks associated with, resulting from or arising in connection with participation in the Competition and attendance at the Event. All indemnities, warranties, representations, terms and conditions (whether express or implied) except as set out herein and/or as may be otherwise expressly advised are hereby excluded. Organisers and their affiliates Group (as well as any employees or other representatives of the same) exclude all liability for any loss, injury, disease or damage whatsoever that you may suffer in connection with or arising from the Competition and/or attendance at the Event whether direct, indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive loss, injury or damage (including, without limitation, injury or disease to persons, property damage, theft, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of goodwill, loss or corruption of data or any other type of economic loss, injury or damage) or otherwise. The limitations and exclusions in this paragraph only apply to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  8. All Contestants agree to indemnify Organisers against all costs, claims, damages and expenses that Organisers may suffer or incur as a result of, or in connection with, any breach of these Terms & Conditions.
  9. Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions will result in automatic disqualification.
  10. Contestants grant Organisers a non-exclusive, royalty free, irrevocable, worldwide license to use and reproduce (i) all content submitted by them for the Competition, (ii) all images, videos and other media recorded by Organisers or their representatives at the Event, and (iii) their name, in each case for the marketing and promotion of the Competition, and for the commercial promotion of Organisers and any Organisers business. Photography and filming by Organisers’ representatives will take place during the Event, including the Awards Ceremony. Contestants acknowledge and accept that Organisers may record, photograph, film and broadcast (via print, electronic means and internet) any image or film footage taken during the Event, including the Awards Ceremony.
  11. Organisers are not responsible for the policies, actions, or inactions of others, which might prevent Contestant from entering or participating in the Competition and/or claiming any prize in the Competition.

 

7. General

  1. By entering the Competition, Contestants will be deemed to have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and be bound by them.
  2. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Malaysia and all disputes hereunder shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
